kinda Healthy Brekkie

While my husband and daughter are sleeping, I decided to prepare my breakfast. I could not take my meds on an empty stomach so I made fried mando with my homemade garlic sauce, boiled broccoli, and cucumber with a pinch of salt. To stir clear of dairy, I will have turmeric instead. I am pretty sure they are going to sleep through the morning. I will prepare lunch a little later. Do you have any suggestions to make my broccoli a little more interesting? I always boil my broccoli or sometimes, stir fry them with mushrooms, if there are mushrooms in the fridge, otherwise I just go with boiled broccoli.

I am curious of the mando. Is it that brown thing there?

Mando is similar to our lumpia. It has pork, veggies, vermicelli noodles.

You can eat broccoli raw too after thoroughly washing it. I like to add cheese to it making an au gratin type of dish with broccoli.

@oahuwriter Thanks for sharing. I watch cooking videos on Youtube. Sometimes, they are boring because too much talking. I have favorite cooking vlogs though.

@Iam_jauntyjen I buy cheddar cheese in little cellophane wrappings on sale and sometimes packages of mixed cheese usually mozzarella and cheddar when on sale so I use either of these. Lots of recipes at youtube or online to check and get an idea how to for your taste buds. That's where I go to check for or look for recipes too. Good luck!

@Iam_jauntyjen how interesting - garlic catsup!

I cooked the garlic in olive oil. When they're slightly brown, I add catsup. You have to stir continuously so they won't stick to the pan. Add a bit of pepper and sugar. You can also add chili if you like.

We usually have broccoli with a while sauce but that's because it's usually served with a meat dish.
