I'm thinking to start a business, it's a food restaurant which is good I think since it is people needs but I'm afraid to lose my investment! Do you think it's a good business or should I think of other businesses? or maybe I should partner up with someone who knows about running a business?

If you wish to start a food business, I suggest you start small first. Perhaps there are night markets in your area? You can start by opening a small stall with low rental. I have a friend who has a stall at a night market. The rental is low and the returns is high. She would never think of opening a brick and mortar restaurant because the rental will eat into her income.

@tech40 True. When you just starting a business, you need to keep the overheads low. Otherwise, you’ll be experiencing a lot of losses instead of profiting from your venture.

It's pretty cool! Yeah and that's a good idea and also it's the best way to market your brand in the beginning of the process

Starting a business is easy if your heart is in it. the business that you should get into is something that should be close to your heart, it should be something that you love doing.if going into a restaurant business you must know how to cook. If you want to put up a beauty parlor you must know how to trim hair. Those are just the basics. You must also establish your market. Most of all you must have a longer rope, liquid assets that can finance your operations. The first few months may not be good.

Right. The beginning is always the down-fall and will try your strength and ability, but I'm hoping I can survive until it can stand by itself

Every business involves some risk. If you have an appetite to take that risk, go for it. Research well before you start one.

If you can afford to lose your money you may not be a good businessman. This is what I heard from others. In every business undertakings or ventures there's always a risk involved So be ready with yourself to take that risk.

When it comes to starting a business, I feel that it's important to do your research. Talk to people who have started a business similar to the one you want to start. Before making any decision, get as much information as you can.

For me, it's better to conduct a feasibility study before starting up a business.

Keep in mind that every type of business involves risk and you have to be ready for it. Start small and select a business that you will truly enjoy. You have to consider a lot of things, too, like capital, location, permits, and licenses, etc.

It is not easy and you probably need legal help to make certain you are covered if anything goes wrong. We run several small businesses and some of them turned into large businesses. Our legal adviser looked over our business plans and it has been a great help.
