A Nightmare on Daylight?

That's a weird dream. I find myself lying on a sofa sleeping. In front I heard a person speaking. When I try to open my eyes I see people at my back all in white. I wake up but I can't open my eyes and I still feel the urge to sleep but I fight back to stay awake but it's very difficult. I stood up though my sleepiness tried to stop me leaving my eyes closed when I walked through a corridor though I've heard the noise of our TV I mean the real TV that was really on and I've heard also the voice of AC, the kid in our house. Then I see a path with a steel gate. I reached the handle of the gate to open but that stops there and I suddenly wake up. Thankfully it was just a dream and I'm still alive. That was a bad dream that feels like so real. I don't know where that path leads me hadn't I woke up.

If you experience that when you cannot move but your senses are alert move your fingers one by one.

In my dream I dispensed effort like pressing my palms, pinching my fingers, shaking my head but none works. Only the part when I''m about to open the gate that I was awaken.

@ZedSmart just raise your fingers one by one. shaking head will.not work. This normallt occurs when you sleep after lunch time.

@florelway It happens mid-morning. So that's effective. What will happen if we can't remember that while at the onset of dream?

Sounds like astral projection to me. I do that sometimes. It's an awesome experience when you realize what's happening. It can be likened to lucid dreaming except it isn't induced.

@ZedSmart Astral projection is when your astral body body leaves your physical body and explores the astral plane. Lucid dreaming is dreaming in a conscious state of mind. Normally you can control the outcome and direction of a lucid dream. So it was probably a lucid dream you had.

@ZedSmart Sometimes our worries of the day haunt us during the night.

It sounds more like a nightmare than a dream to me.
