For me this happens often in some times use the wrong word or context when speaking or writing. Nothing I can do about it since I have a learning disability. But what makes me upset is when adults themself make fun of me for using the Wong word or context.
Last night that happened my husbands 28 year old sister and 24 year old sister was making fun of me for something I missed spelled a week ago. Like really!!! Can we not act or age you got make for the person with a learning disability because you think it’s funny when it’s not.

Well I'll tell you an easy way to put a stop to it. Unless you live with them or they live with you, I would just tell them politely if all they can do when they see you is make fun of you, don't bother to come around you at all. I think they should get the message that you don't like then.

@ShyBear88 Wow, sounds like they need to grow up! The only other thing you could do then, if your husband agrees to it, is tell them ya'll are not going back over there unless they stop.

We don’t live together only see each other’s for certain things. I would rather die then live with them. One they where not at my house they where at there moms which is where we have cupcakes and ice cream last night. They know I have a learning disability and they just like to point things out and make fun of it because they don’t care. They probably wouldn’t do it to there own grandmother that is now disabled and doesn’t know how to write let alone memory half of people in her life. They are just means people in general.

There not my family and even if there were my family they wouldn’t never say nor point stuff out like that and make a big joke about it. My whole side of the family understand special needs and how the brain works and we never poke or laugh about a mistakes or incorrect words because it’s rude. I would never a find it funny and they know that. Especially with there niece having dyslexia they are showing here it’s okay to make fun of people being different.

@ShyBear88 It sounds like you are very upset. I would let the other person know that they are being rude if I was feeling offended.

@besweet me telling them won’t fix it. They know it makes me upset even when I tell them they still do the same thing. Been that was for years don’t think it’s going to change. For most part a lot of it I let go and let it roll off of my shoulders but there are times like this where they make me angry for saying things like that. This is also the same sister many years ago told me and my husband that I should have had a miscarriage. In general I don’t like her.
