Day 210
Promise 280
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
Many people believe giving money to the church is no more than the church holding its hand out to strip you of what you worked hard for. They also mock everyone who gives to the church.
Solomon said to honor God with your substance, with what God gave you. When you do, you will have more than enough to take care of all your needs.
As Christians, you are not giving to the church when you pay your tithes as God commanded. You are giving to God. When you give to God, God will take care of all your needs.
You’re not giving to God because God needs your money. God needs nothing from you. You are giving so God will bless you.
People don’t realize that when you withhold your tithe, you withhold your blessing. When you do, you rob God.
Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. (KJV)
God wants you to put Him to the test in giving your first fruits to Him. First means your gross income, not the leftovers after you pay your bills and buy your groceries to make certain you have food to eat. First, it means that portion of your check from which even your government takes from before you see the rest. The gross, not the net. When you do, God will bless you and see to it all your bills are paid and you have food and shelter.
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, says the LORD of hosts.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, says the LORD of hosts.
When you give to God first, He will meet all your needs and you won’t lack anything. His promise with the added declaration to test Him in His promise is to give you everything you need.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV)
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (KJV)
I might be poor, but I’m debt-free. All my bills are paid on time. I have food on my table and a roof over my head. I have everything I need because I give to God first. I proved God and He continues to bless me.
How about you? Is God’s hand of blessing on your life?
Let’s pray: Father, You promised to supply everything I need when I give You the first fruits of my earnings. Help me not to withhold my hand, but to give as You commanded so You can bless me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I receive many blessings in any form for I give first what is due to the Lord as I pay my tithes and offerings to the Church.
