It's another day. I love Bible stories and bible quotes. I have my bible devotion and I just read one chapter a day. I read slowly so I won't miss any good verse in each chapter.
I'm now in the book of Psalms. I find this verse a good verse but I really can't explain it well. Does it mean we should not tire ourselves from work and just be relax because God wants to give us rest?

I very much agree with this saying. For me, I take complete rest on the day when I have no what to do. Even Legend has it that the genesis of life was not made in one day. God made this universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th which we know as Sunday.

@Mensch What I basically know is Sabbath rest is a strict law to observe by the Jews before the coming of Jesus. People should not do anything on a Sabbath day and usually it is Saturday not Sunday

@averygirl72 I have previously heard of Sabbath rest before but never came across the actual meaning of it. Would you mind sharing what it actually means as per the Bible?

I feel like it's saying it's okay to rest as God will take care of you when you do :-)

The point of working is for bread. Thus the people are working from Monday to Friday or even Saturday but on Sunday he should rest. God Himself rested on the seventh day.
