We got the kids something today for there bedroom. The kids are always asking us when they go to sleep to play music. Their CD’s are getting scratched up. So we had talked about getting them an dot for their rooms. The kids dots but when we went to the store it was cheaper to do the regular dots vs the kids dots. So we got the the regular dot and going to be setting up for them to listen to songs they like at night time.

I'm sure they will absolutely love having the dots in their room!

Yes! We are setting up tomorrow. The littlest throw a big tantrum while out and we didn’t want to rewards his bad behavior and if we put one in one room we have to put in the other. We didn’t want to deal with the that’s not fair because one boy was better behaved then the other.

This past Christmas, My daughter bought me one of the dots. It's kind of nice to have, I can ask for news briefs, weather, or music, so long as I don't ask for specific songs. (To get that ability past 30 days, I have to pay out money which I will not do.) But while I agree with another myLoter, I do not like the idea of it listening to me, I realized that there is very little for it to eavesdrop on to begin with. There is only my wife and me and most of our conversations take place in a different room or in the car on the road going somewhere. Heck, Alexia even tells jokes when prompted.

She doesn’t listen in on conversations unless you tell her to drop in and then to which dot. She ain’t recording what your saying. You can also turn off certain things. She can look up songs for free she can’t find everything for free but I have a play list of songs that are free with my prime membership that’s not with me asking to do the music package.

I don't want anything Alexa in my house. I don't like the technology or the idea of something listening to me.

It’s not listening to you. Alexa doesn’t responded unless you say her name. The kids know to ask her for music and the weather. We also have locks suck as can’t buy things.
