Two Strikes, Super Wash

So, I told you the other day about my experience at the Super Wash taking my wife's car there. Well, it seems a group of birds were all interested in buying my truck since they left numerous deposits all over it. So, I decided to take it over to the Super Wash self-wash and clean 'er up a bit. I pulled into the same stall I took my wife's into knowing the end stall did not work. You will remember I lost $1.75 on that one. But now, and this is just one day later mind you, something or someone broke the dial and so it was a real bear to turn to the setting I wanted. I mean, I damn near threw my back out trying to change it from rinse to super polish. Meanwhile, the connection at the top of the hose in the ceiling had sprung a leak and I think I got more wet than the damn truck did. That's two strikes Super Wash. I REALLY like this location. But you better get it together. You're not the only self-wash in town. I guess on the bright side I got the truck cleaned up and I did not need a shower.

Wasn't there anyone there you could complain to? I'm sure you, being as wet or more so than your truck would be a good indication that they needed to do something to repair their equipment. I wouldn't go for three strikes.

@porwest I hope the next time you go, the equipment has been fixed. I'm surprised no one is in attendance.

@just4him It's a self-wash. Usually you don't find a person working there. People just plop their coins in and the machines do the rest—aside from the washing of course.

Nope. No attendant. There hardly ever is at self-washes. I will probably still give them one more chance. But I am pretty much a "once you've lost my business you'll never get it back" kind of a guy.

@porwest Yes, their equipment should be working flawlessly for the spring and summer seasons.

@LindaOHio Yeah. I will give them another shot. But if they don't have this stuff fixed, or it does not appear that they are at least addressing it...I will start going somewhere else. It's not like there's not a million of them around to go to.

It happens. Might just go to a different wash next time. Although I am inclined to see if they may have fixed some of the problems. They better. We're getting into their big money making season real soon.

Nah. I am just keeping an eye to make sure they have done something to fix the problem. If they don't I will simply give my business to someone else.

And I suppose there is no one in attendance to help or complain to?

Nope. Not this time, and incidentally not Saturday either. I sometimes do see an older guy attending to the place. But he was not there at all so far as I could tell this weekend. For such a nice day the place WAS absent of many people washing. So, maybe people are already aware of the recent problems and are going elsewhere.

I take my car very occasionally to a full-service car wash. I can't be bothered to do it myself

I just like the self wash because I can usually do it for under $5, and it doesn't take that long to do it.
