The state of confusion and panic brought about by the novel coronavirus is actually not new. Biblical history tells of the story of the ten plagues of Egypt in the time of Moses.
Time and again comes an epoch of phenomenal significance. Take for instance the flooding in Noah's tale. Usually, the people are such in a godless state that only catastrophic events shock the people, propelling them into shifting gears.
In such cases, our good God sends prophets to remind the people of the impending doomsday. Like Jonas who was swallowed by the huge whale, because God sent him to godless Nineveh and he was afraid. Eventually, he did preach there, and doomsday was reprieved.
Fast forward to the modern age, there was a Dominican friar by the name of Vincent Ferrer in Spain, circa 1374. He was called the Angel of the Apocalypse, specifically the angel of Revelation 14: 6, because he preached the Gospel and called for penitence and conversion using the end of times.
That era, Spain was besieged with famine and hunger, and yet, Vincent Ferrer performed approximately eight miracles a day, and in the entire duration of his preaching, he must have made 58 thousand miracles.
The end times did not happen and you would ask why?
It is because the people did adhere to the two requirements: repentance and conversion.
Repentance and conversion can buy reprieve. People can redeem themselves with reverent fear. God is waiting for that. If that happens, profound hope may come, and perhaps we can be saved.
Spread the Word.
A glimmer of Hope.

@Alexandoy What exactly?
If you go back to the Gospel, there is John, the Baptist, the precursor of Christ. He is the last prophet before our Lord. Very clearly, and specifically, he called for repentance.
