Today ... we will take Kissy, our big Rottie, to the vet to get his rabies shot, and get his nails clipped. I will be glad to be back from this appointment. We will have to gently help him get up in the pickup to go. He has had surgery and I don't want anything to hurt his leg, hip. Tomorrow ... we will take Camie, our Catahoula, to the vet to get her rabies shot, and nails clipped. She has no problems jumping up to get in vehicle. I will be glad once the appointments are behind us. For now, I would like for Skip and I to stay in for a time, not get around anyone until we know what is happening all around us. We live in an area where everybody from every place in the world moves here to live now. We live near Raleigh, NC. Everybody moves here for jobs ... they love it here. Fast economic growth, nature, parks and all sorts of things attract them. I love new ideas, foods from so many different places. I just really dislike all the extra traffic. The good thing is I drive in all that traffic and never let it intimidate me. I stay pretty much 'in tune' with the new roads, and such. A lot of people give up, won't drive in it now. I just 'jump out in the middle of it' ... and go. So many people are here now ... and I really believe we all need to be diligent in keeping ourselves, others as safe as possible. We have to work together, each doing our part. After the vet appointments, we will stay home for a while. We do have one person sick with coronavirus in Wake County, one sick in Chatham County as far as I know. I don't feel panicked at all. I just take it seriously, wash my hands often ... when we are out I make sure Skip and I use the hand sanitizer I made. We hear people coughing, sneezing ... of course, it is worrisome. The first thought is 'if they have the coronavirus' ... we don't know and move in the opposite direction. I know like myself ... others can have allergies, also. Just people's perfumes ... even mine and Skip's, can set off a sneezing spell. I did hear one person speaking that worried me ... he sounded as if he'd had deep chest congestion, very sick. We weren't in his space. We'll just take one day at a time with a clear head ... no panicking. We aren't trying to stockpile, take away from others the necessary daily things we all use. I think stores will keep restocking like normal ... I don't think anyone is thinking about that.
