I assumed that we all have apprehension for this Covid thing as it's now declared pandemic. Contamination are already in more than 100 countries and the latest I've heard that is included in the list is Paraguay. I hope my immune system is strong enough. Our nutrition plays an important role. It is said that ginger can help although I only have little fresh as of now. I'm not sure if instant ginger tea we called "salabat" has the potency as the fresh. I bought some pack. I would say, hope is all what we have for now as cure is yet to be discovered.

This surely is not going to help against covid, but boosting our immune system does not hurt.

@LadyDuck I think Switzerland has considerable numbers of cases also but your neighbor Italy now rank second with the number of recorded cases surpassing South Korea. Correction: South Korea back to second as of this time.

It may help, but I think just drinking orange juice and teas with echinacea may help as well. Anything that will boost immunity may help the Covid thing pass you by, but then it may not as it seems as if it transmits fast.

@ZedSmart Yes. The US isn't handling it the way I think they should either.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I'm not sure also how equipped our country on handling this matter. Recently, the chief executive of the land declared State of Emergency as suggested by the the Secretary of Health Department.

I don't know, but I think it won't be harmful to drink it anyway. Actually in my country, we think drinking ginger tea can avoid you getting a cold. Ginger does have some magical usages. Recently I drink ginger tea now and then. Besides, I also drink lemon tea as I think plenty of water and the natural Vitamin C from lemon is good for me for sure.

You are right. As it says, prevention is better than cure.

My colleague always buys ginger whenever he gets sick and he recovers in no time. So, I guess the boost is almost instant.

I'm not sure about ginger tea as that's been processed. But fresh ginger might be good. We try to eat as much fruits and veggies as we can, load up on vitamins, exercise, and get at least 15 minutes of sun exposure. It's hard to be cooped these days. But I'm thankful we've got a backyard.
