Reveal YOURSELF...NO!!!

This morning, my younger brother is nagging me to go to our barangay unit today. We need to secure a permit if ever going to buy in the public market. I must admit that I don't want to give in. However, I need to do it if our food supply would not last two weeks or more. I have to use one of two facial masks spared. Thus, I cannot reveal myself in public through this facial mask. Do you need to avail of a permit in going out at your place?

I have not heard of that happening yet but then there have only been 3 cases of that virus in my city so far. I do not plan to leave my home until the end of the month because by then I will have run out of food.

At present, no cases reported in my city. I'm glad you have goods stored in your house. The good thing is that my fellowmen are following the simple rules imposed in my city. We still have food supply and no need to go out.

@Shavkat I love your title. It is so right for this time. I understand why he wanted you to go with him. I just need to make sure we can do what we have to do during this time. There are things closing and things still open here. I have seen lots with masks and someone explained that the ones going out with the masks do not want to get germs of others so have to protect themselves. I understand it more but still am glad when I do not have to go out at all.

One of the rules imposed is to use a facial mask in the public. If not, then no need to go out and that includes people who are senior citizens, with medical conditions.

We aren't in a complete lock down so we can easily buy groceries at present. No one knows what will happen in the future

I do agree with you. We can never tell what will happen in the future. The city's mayor declared 24 hours curfew. Thus, we need to have this permit.

No, not yet. Although, I do have a permit that allows me to go to work in a quarantined city. I haven't needed to show it to the police or military units yet. (I'm not sure, but I was told I'd need it to report to work this past Monday although nobody has asked to see my permit yet. *shrug*)

I guess it's not a rule to follow there. Since my country was lockdown, the local government imposed this rule.

@Shavkat The previous law that had to be followed here didn't have any penalties for a person who still went out of their home to shop, visit with friends, gather in large groups. That was a "suggested" activity "law". The law that went into effect at midnight tonight (almost two and a half hours ago) DOES have penalties for anyone caught leaving their home without a pressing need... a pressing need would be buying groceries, doctor appointments or going to a pharmacy for medication. The first time you are caught leaving your home without a pressing need, you are told to return home immediately. Any time(s) caught leaving your home without a pressing need thereafter will see a fine being levied against you. Not paying the fine levied will see you being put into jail. Since I work in a grocery store/everything besides groceries store, I still have to report to work at my scheduled work times. *shrug* (Even though the store I work in sells things that are considered non-essential, that doesn't mean people are going to be allowed to buy those things in addition to the groceries they claim they need. Walmart is supposed to be blocking areas of the store that contains non-essential goods. I will see if/how those areas are blocked off when I go to work this morning. I'll actually be surprised if Walmart management actually does block customers from accessing/buying non-essential products... until they are fined a few times for allowing those things to be purchased.)

I'm glad that it's not happening there. The permit in my barangay only lasts for one day. I find it time-consuming. But we need to follow it. For the sake of being safe.
