Double Checkpoint

It’s my uncle’s burial later this afternoon and we took our chances even though we now have a 24-hr curfew, and they aren’t allowing anyone to go out anymore. We passed through the first checkpoint with no problems at all. But at the second checkpoint, we had a few problems. The military personnel doesn’t want us to get through even though we have shown her the internment order. But after a few minutes, she allowed us to go. Have a great day everyone!

Is that a "stick" (manual transmission) you're driving? Very few Americans still know how to do that!

Did the second checkpoint express a reason for their hesitancy?

@freelancermariagrace I am glad you made it to your destination. I don't think we have anything that severe around here.

It reminds of what happened during Hurricane Katrina where checkpoints were seen at the borders of the parishes around the state where armed law enforcement police officers guarding the cities.

@freelancermariagrace It also reminds me of the time living in Panama during the era where the U S had a military presence in the Canal Zone.
