That’s it for the State is Virginia. All of our schools have officially closed for the year no more school for the kids period. I don’t know what that entails just yet because they are having a meeting tonight at 8pm to figure things out. Weather that means the kids will continue to try to have long distance learning or if that means next fall when the school year picks back up that the first 4-6 weeks will be the kids finishing out what’s left of this part of the year in the fall and finish by October to move up the next grade and continue out 2020-2021 school year in the late fall which would then mean our raising Kindergarten wouldn’t start till around October or November vs August. Many parents are surprise but me and my husband are not. We knew this was coming sooner or later. For now the kids will continue on with some from of learning to help move the day along.

Here they are on a soft-close until April 20th, is the latest news. However us ending up in the same boat I am not going to be surprised with.

Yes I’m in VA. A lot of parents are at a lose and the video this evening didn’t help with some of the doubt but a lot of use are continuing with what our kids do have access to to keep there current skills and reinforce what they have already learned and should start in August at the next grade.

Our schools haven't said what the long-term plan is. We do know they are closed until at least mid-April. If by some chance the kids go back at that time, I'm thinking they will have to extend the school year into the summer vacation months.

See when Virginia goes into a state of emergency the kids do not get and extend school year at all. Just how it’s build in as well as our county since each county as it set up differently with how the school years god. Our county states if at any times our State steps in and says emergency all the kids are not bound to attend school nor are they required to finish the school year. They can not extend it in fault of disasters, disease, etc. So for my kids no more school.

Here in NC school is closed until May15th, and a determination then will be made to see if it needs to be longer. Most of our friends kids are using the zoom app to keep up their school work, the rest are homeschooled.
