1958 - Elvis Presley is drafted into the U. S. Army.
1930 - Steve McQueen was born. He was an American actor, producer and "The King of Cool". Some of his movies: The Sand Pebbles, The Cincinnati Kid, Love With a Proper Stranger, Bullitt, The Great Escape ad The Towering Inferno. In 1974 McQueen was the highest-paid movie star in the world. He passed away on November 7, 1980.
1973 - Jim Parsons was born. He is best known for his role as Sheldon Cooper on the TV sitcom The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019). He received 4 Primetime Emmy Awards and 1 Golden Globe for his performance. In 2018 Forbes Magazine estimated his annual salary at $26.5 million, making him the world's highest paid TV actor!
