More than a Sickness

The coronavirus has affected all of our lives.
It shut down the economy, made people prisoners in their own houses, and disrupted the supply chain creating shortages. It shut down social gatherings and people are afraid of each other. It exposed greed by hoarders and lack of compassion.
It also caused people to work together and join in unity with others. I heard the people of China singing to each other on their balconies. I saw people putting up Christmas decorations in the US. I see people sharing with their neighbors and giving each other air hugs from across the street.
The virus is a fact that we can't escape. We can control our reactions to it and try to help one another get through it.

And if everyone will reach out to help another individual, we will all come through this dilemma a better person!

@akalinus I noticed in January that this was going to be huge.
Not unlike H1N1 but how we as a society deal with it and what measures are in place for us today, which were not back then, is like another world.
Today we Face-Time, back then we......did without? Or made phone calls?

I think it shows both sides of people, the good and the bad. You see stories on the internet about the bad. People load up carts with all the toilet paper and paper towels they can get. I saw stories of people grabbing things out of other's carts or pushing old people down because they are in the way.
i know there must be lots of good stories but you don't see those much.

Everyone needs to cooperate. If we can't be kind and help each other now, when will we?

It has brought out the best and the worst in people. And you're right. We can choose how we react to these situations.
