My parents have a big balcony and I am glad that they start to plant vegetables there. However, my dad told me that the worms eat more vegetables after they grow. So are there any natural ways to remove and get rid of the worms?

The worms that eat vegetables are the larvae of flying insects like bugs and even flies. Just be aware of the presence of those insects. I use apple cider vinegar to repel them.

It is easy to find the apple cider vinegar. Does it work well?

@youless what I do is to spray on the soil around the plant. The odor would drive away the flying insects.

Diatomaceous Earth, available at some farm stores kills the worms but is not poisonous. Also Bacillus thurgiensis is a biological way to control them. Otherwise you pick them off when you see them and drown them in soapy water. I guess in part it depends on what the worms are the larvae of.

It is not easy to replace the soil. Besides, the new soil may still have such a problem.

There are two ways. One is to introduce a natural predator. Another option is that you have to manually get rid of them. The first one I cannot advice you further as I do not see what is the type of worms that you are having. The manual removal method is easier but more tedious.

I know coffee grounds are good for the plants but I don't know it can also avoid the worms. This is a very good idea.

You could do some research on companion planting. Some plants keep insects away from other plants.
