I was not needed at school today / myLot

I was up late last night for several reasons.One of which was trying to get a cat indoors.

So I got up, ate breakfast, and took a long nap.

We had to return some auto parts, buy a different one, and see Sid the mechanic.We also got gas in the car, and I picked up a few items at Dollar General. They have taped marks on the floor to help us observe social distancing. While we were out we went to Sonic for a mid afternoon meal. Huge burgers and big beverages. Cherry limeades. We will just snack this evening and go to bed early. It is cloudy and grey outside, good sleeping weather. I have not been here today except to do a little reading. I did do the census, online. Fast and easy. I am not having anything new to write, I guess. Perhaps I should stir up some trouble somewhere.

@GardenGerty Oh, yes. Have you ever had a cherry limeade from Braum's? Those are my favorite.

@AmbiePam Sonic and Braums both make good cherry limeades. I think hubby prefers Sonic. We like Braums a lot.

I don't think that any Dollar General stores or any restaurants are open except for carry out and delivery in Virginia.

Sonic may not exist there. It is a drive in (and walk up) restaurant. You eat in a car, or get your stuff to go all the time. Nothing different for a shut down. You sit in your own car, order and the food is brought out to you. When it first started the car hops roller skated. Dollar General cut its hours some, but continues to provide shopping for rural America, at least around here.

@GardenGerty I have never been to a Sonic, I have heard a lot about them. The music minister at a church we used to go to drove to Sonic for lunch a few times a week........ an hour and a half away! LOL

@GardenGerty Well, I have my own library, so I've just been going through what's on my shelves. I just finished my (spotty) collection of Nero Blanc crossword mysteries, and yesterday I read How to Wash a Cat by Rebecca M. Hale.
