I wasn't nervous about the virus until I kept hearing about the severity, the after effects, the fact that my husband and I are in the more vulnerable group, etc. Now I definitely want to stay away from people.

I've spent more than a week obsessively watching the numbers rise. In support of my sanity, I'm trying to back away from the constant flow of news updates. I can't control the situation, I can only do what is best for me and my family and support my community as compassionately as possible. Obsessing doesn't help anyone.

Being sensitive to others hurt and feelings is what makes us human. Never try to ignore/ reject your own feelings, just try to think if their are anythings that help buffer out the negative feelings with more positive ones. What helps me is thinking about the animals that are getting more freedom. Its a hard time for everyone just stay safe, both physically and mentally.

Yep, If you take precautions you likely will not have much to worry about. My son contracted the virus, he is doing much better now, well enough to have a video chat this afternoon. Looking forward to that.
My nervousness comes when I have to go into town for something. Most people are trying to comply with the rules, but one never knows when they are going to touch the wrong thing. We have dropped our in-town visits to a bare minimum. We will need groceries next week, maybe. IF so, we will likely go get them ourselves.
