So today was kind of a rough day for all of us. First we woke to heavy rain falling down on the skylight in the hallways which woke all the kids up. My husband came in and said he thinks he had to call his work health line because he doesn’t feel well and is coughing. Which we all know Covid-19 (Corona) is going around. He is more likely to get since he works in the hospital. So he took off his scrubs, went to the bathroom. I could hear his coughing while he was in there. Once he came out he told me it’s been going on since 3am and getting stronger. So he called answered some questions. They said they’d call him back about when today or tomorrow they could test him. He did get a call around 1pm for his time slot at 3:30pm. He went to the location left here at about 2:30 gave the kids air hugs told them he still wasn’t feel good so not to touch him. So they didn’t. He came back and told me at 4pm it’ll be 5-7 days because they are on backorder to run all of the test because there is just so many.

Sorry to hear that...and that the tests are on backorder....that would be tough to have to wait that long to know.

@ShyBear88 That is good if they can rush it then....but that is good that he'll be staying home in the mean time.

@MommyOfEli2013 it’s part of protocol even if we didn’t have this nasty virus going around any time any of them are sick they stay home till they are feeling better or 72 hours free of fever and symptoms stopping.

If he comes back positive, you should take the kids to the pediatrician.

What would they do. Right doctor are not seeing anyone unless they are sick and even then the rest of us might not be tested either unless we are so bad we need to stay in the hospital.

@ShyBear88 That's not the right attitude. But I'm not going to tell you what to do. Plus I refuse to be on lockdown and can't afford it anyway

@thislittlepennyearns lockdown is to make sure you don’t give it to others. We are suppose to try to stop the spread so those that can’t fight against won’t die. It’s not an attitude I’m having. It’s a fact I know just because one has it doesn’t mean everyone one will have. Why take my kids to see there doctor when they are not sick just to get sick. Makes not sense to me.
