What did you have for dinner last night?

I tried something different for dinner last night. I just went with what I had. I had bought some steak from Safeway (a local grocery store), and had some sourdough toast and butter with it. But I also added some sliced raw onions on the side. Usually I cook onions with other "stuff," but I decided to see what would happen if I just had some onion raw on the side. It was actually really good. Have you done any improvising over the last couple of days?

Last night we had tuna casserole from scratch which I don't usually make. Leftover package of egg noodles. I added in some extra vegetables that I had to use up. Used up leftover cheeses. Tasty and colorful!

Last night was meatballs and rigatoni with a salad. Tonight is ribeye with baby red roasted potatoes and fresh asparagus.

Nice. Have you tried caramelising onions and making a marmalade out of them. That would be a delicious accompaniment !

I've been eating a lot of soup for dinner, and a lot of fruits for breakfast. It's amazing how much money I've been saving by not going out to eat over the past week.

@TheHorse It's been an eye-opener for me of just how much I was eating out before the crisis started.

I can't handle the raw onions. You eat small portions. That's good. Haven't done any improvising. Last night I had Broccoli Cheese Potato soup. Today I had what my husband made - sausages with potatoes and sauerkraut.

I think we may have had them on Chicago style hotdogs--not quite sure.

I had sushi, the thaw at home kind from Walmart that they sell frozen. It’s actually not half bad.

I like raw onions in my salad or on a hamburger. But I imagine having it along with a meal is good too. No improvising yet as long as they have food delivery and the grocery stores stay open. Chicken, mashed potatoes and corn was on the menu for me tonight.
