Went To Another City.

This morning me and my SIL went to another city. I accompany her because she needs to go to their bank there. We also buy groceries and other needs. It has been eight days since the last time we bought our supplies. So far, we had not encountered checkpoints. When we went back to our baranggay, that was the time we were asked of our quarantine pass. All is well. I am happy that even for a brief period, I was able to see other faces of course with social distancing. I can only see their eyes. How are you all doing?

Are you allowed to go to another city? We get fined if they stop us and it is very expensive.

@rakski We cannot here, they check people in the cars, you must have a reason not to be near your home.

I am fine. I will go out with my better half today as he has to get his medicine prescription and then to the pharmacy. Of course, we will be wearing masks and gloves.

It is at this point that having your own car is needed to be able to go around the city. When public transport was plentiful And traffic was terrible I didn’t want to get my own car because I have to attend to a lot of things like gas And parking space for my car. But now that many public transports are suspended owning a car is very practical and useful to get to your destination

@rakski That’s true. Good thing that we have a small grocery store nearby. But we plan to totally stop going out and just buy online what we can right now. Cases in our area seems to be on the rise still.

@rsa101 we usually go out once a week or more. The last time we go out before Tuesday was 9 days ago.

Very true. And you can see the sacrifices of those without vehicles because they have to walk long to go to the supermarkets

Doing okay. Having a bit of sinus/allergy problems, and going a little "stir crazy", but my brother's girlfriend is coming to take me to go shopping and pick up a prescription.

During this lockdown here, our local government gave each house a pass to be use by one person when going out. This is to lessen the movement of people outside. If one goes out without it, they will be escorted back to their houses.

Is there no banking services in your area? Why need to go to other city? All banks's ATM are open.

Its really great that you were able to get out for a while. So glad it brought you happiness when all around is fear, and doom and gloom. We are doing ok. My wife is on a 12 week stay at home protection order as her condition, COPD, very severe, makes her in the high risk category. She is fine though, and can still spend a lot of time outside in the fresh air in the garden. Just no contact with other people.

@rakski My wife is healthy enough, not ill at all. She has a lung condition which will never recover. But with good managment she lives a more active healthy life than lots of people.
