Upsetting News About My Uncle

While browsing the news stories online this morning, I came across a story that got my attention. My uncle, 90 y/o is in a nursing home, in another state, and has been on lockdown due to the virus.
A resident at his facility has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Of course I knew sooner or later this could happen. But to read it online was a shock. They did not identify who the resident is, and I respect that.
I searched and found another story that explained the resident is a female, and was transferred to the facility about 10 days ago. Maybe she brought the virus with her, I don't know. But she is in the hospital now.
One nurse was sent home for a 14-day isolation period. And the facility is still on lockdown. No answer when I call my uncle. I have to hope he is ok. I will keep trying to call him. A shame the stepdaughters do not stay in touch. I have to read this online.
Oh well, nothing can be done but wait and see what happens. Hoping for a good outcome. The photo is the last birthday card I mailed him last year.

That must be so scary for you. Specially with no answers when you try to call. I hope you can get an answer and some peace of mind soon.

That would be upsetting. I know in one of the nursing homes in the Richmond area the virus has been running rampant..They were profiling some people last night who have a relative there and are terribly concerned. They should probably test all the residents and staff..whether they show symptoms or not.

That’s an awful way to hear bad news. I hope that he’ll be okay.

It is alarming. And it is hard to learn this online rather than from family.

I hope he is ok. He could be busy or sleeping for not answering the phone
