I have played Monopoly since I was a child ….and although I have not played for several years now, I thought it was like riding a bike ...well...not exactly the same obviously !!! Rod, however, told me that he had never played before …..I have my suspicions that he may not have been completely truthful about that ….. The Monopoly set was retrieved from the loft and set up …. I told him of the basics …. We started to play …. 6 hours later he owned almost everything and I was down to a few pounds …..that was at 2.30 in the morning ….I don't give up easily ! Next night ...the night of the revenge ! After 5 hours he owned every property...had almost all the money from the bank ...all of my money ...and I still owed him some !!! I went from owning almost half the board ...including houses on Park Lane and Mayfair ...to being broke and in debt !!! Even Alan Sugar couldn't buy up all of London in such a short space of time !!! Third time lucky …..I will not give in …..
