breathing isn't as easy as I'd like

For about a week now I've been feeling short of breath. It's not severe enough to warrant seeking medical attention yet (as the doctors are VERY busy), but it's not fun. It feels like I just ran down the block, but without the heart pounding that might come with that... or like I'm about to have an asthma attack that never quite comes.
I have no fever. I have no other worrying symptoms. I just feel like I'm not getting quite enough air with my breaths.
We have a peak flow meter, and I've tested my breathing with it. I'm still in a good range, despite feeling uncomfortable, so I'm not sure what else I should do right now except what I've been doing. I do wish it would clear itself up so I can stop feeling paranoid about having caught something.

Yeah, we're tracking the symptoms. I'm thankful that it has not worsened.

I agree with that. Always aware of things around us is very vital.

Anxiety attack? Can you do deep abdominal breathing? Breathe in through your nose and bring the air down to your diaphragm (Wow! I spelled that correctly! LOL)... and exhale through your mouth slowly... it will be relaxing and will help your expand your lung capacity... but do it up to four times only if this is new to you... else you will get dizzy.
I got asthma when I feel a little short of breath, I do this exercise.

@JhovanPH runs with the family, but mine came out only when I was in my mid-20's. I rarely get any attacks though...

Believe it or not, I've been doing that exercise!

I hope it is just because of the pollen in the air.

I am too. It seems likely, but it's such scary timing! It's hard to not be a little bit concerned.

I'm actually doing a lot better today! I'm hoping that it's working itself out, whatever it is.

I'm not sure. We got ours from a doctor at some point. You can get pretty much anything off of Amazon these days though, so maybe!

What else would be causing it? I don't think you should mess around if you are short of breath.

I'm not messing around. I am taking it seriously. I don't qualify for testing right now.

Do you have any travel history before? I guess that you must seek some medical staff for that. We are worried about how you feel. Because difficulty of breathing is one of the symptoms of covid-19.
Better take care.
