My last post was mega-long so here’s a short one.
I was up at 6.46am. I like figures like that. I logged into myLot then noticed dozens of little birds all lining up for baths. Some were up for communal bathing but a little robin stood back a bit. I wish I had zoomed a little closer but maybe next time.
The photo is from a previous bathing frenzy.

@amitkokiladitya The lockdown hasn't made any difference to them. They are always carefree.

@Jessicalynnt Birds are notoriously hard to photograph, The birdbath is good in that respect as individual birds sit and drink or bathe and with a bit of luck you can get a photo. Did you know there is a website called 'Crap Bird Photography' People put up their terrible bird photos. Some of the comments are hilarious - very clever.

I like reading these kinds of stories of birds going to take a bath.

Did they bring a glass of ice tea with them too?
I have a birdbath, but I don't fill it. Maybe I will now. I have never seen a bird in it, as there are so many water sources around here.

@snowy22315 Water is harder to find over here. For about the last week we have had butcher birds turning up regularly for a drink and a bath.

@arunima25 The robins like to sit and soak their feet but most other birds are in and out very quickly.

Thanks. They are so small I wonder how they manage to survive in storms, etc.

They were in and out, in and out then suddenly they all left and you'd never have known they'd been there.
