I went to the store mostly to get Dr Pepper and Smokes. Here is what I experienced with the latest trip outside.
They have one entrance now where they have someone wiping down every cart with some kind of cleaning solution. They at that time we not limiting the amount of people in the store but it wasn't really that busy anyways.
Many of the shelves are a lot more empty then they ever have in the over a year that I have been going to that store. The selves are not empty except for the toilet paper isle, but you can see they are low on stock of many things. I did see like 6 people through out the store stocking different products which is more than I would normally see during the day.
People are for the most part trying to stay away from others, which is good. Every employee is wearing some kind of mask and most of them are wearing gloves. They have big plastic shields up in front of the cashiers to block contact between them and the paying customer. So they are taking precautions to limit the contact between people there.
I also noticed that many items are priced to stock up. For example many things are buy one get one free or buy X amount for X price. Seems many people are taking advantage of this. I know I did.
Dr Pepper was 3 for $10.99 limit 6, I got 6. Chips I bought were buy 2 get the 3rd free. Gravy mix was 5 for $2.50, I only needed 1 but for that cheap I got the 5. It was better than 1 for .89 cents. To bad my cigarettes were not on sale
Is your local stores taking steps to limit the contact with other people?
