ACM Awards Show was Different This Year

Every year I enjoy watching the ACM (Academy of Country Music) award show. It was suppose to be held in Las Vegas this year, last week. But due to the COVID-19, the show was cancelled. The decisions was made for the artists to sing from their homes. The ACM and the producers gave the performers the freedom to sing whatever they liked, but were advised that they keep in mind the tone of the evening when selecting songs. I shared a link below if you care to listen. It is the entire show. I enjoyed hearing about 20 artists, each one singing a song from their homes. Many without any instruments. It was very uplifting to hear this. I prefer it to all the glitz and glam of an awards show on television actually. It was more up close and personal. You can see in the photo above, Miranda Lambert performing on her front porch.

I just asked you about Miranda in response to a comment you made and here is the answer. I found her part doing "Bluebird."

Yes, but it has been postponed. You are welcome. I love it when the singers sing from home with little to no instruments. It is real.

They didn't give out awards this year, that will be receded. This was about 20 artist playing aspen form their home, some without instruments. I enjoyed it. The link shows each individual artist and song.

Such a nice way to do that. I’m not into country music, so never watched even when they performed live.

I don't care for many of the new artists. But this was great, some did not even have instruments. I enjoyed it.

I think I would prefer such a concert too as opposed to all the artificiality of the 'real' one.

What a stark contrast to the red carpet and millions of dollars worth of gems and clothing. Miranda Lambert with her hair tied up and in a plaid shirt.
