Right now our yearly stats for snow is at 60.4. We received .2 inches of snow last night sometime. Last year at this time we had 69.5 inches.
In the midwest, we know not to put our snow shovels away before the middle of May. This morning's weather map showed two models for the upcoming storm. Saturday will be rain. However Sunday, the rain turns first to sleet and then to snow. They're calling for 5-6 inches of wet snow by end of day Monday. I don't know if we'll surpass last year's record, but we'll come close.

Here in north Florida, we will see hot and humid conditions through Sunday, and then late Sunday or early Monday the storms will roll in. We have a 90% chance of storms on Monday.

@Elizaby I was just reading about that. It's looking like the weekend is shaping up to be a bad one. I really hope they're wrong about all the tornadoes, but unfortunately we've seen this story repeatedly in the past. April is just a bad month for storms in the southeast.

Early yesterday it tried to snow here in St Catharines but didn't amount to anything. The forecast for tonight is for below zero temps and possible snow. I heard that it snowed in New Brunswick over night.

It will be cold on Saturday..no snow though..I suppose maybe somewhere in the mountains they could have a few flurries. It sure doesn't feel like Mid April though.

I know you are happy to see snow coming. We had a cold frnt come through last night that is putting our lows into thr low 50s for tonight and propbably tomorrow (we almost always get one the week before Easter). We are expecting really bad weather to come through starting Easter afternoon that could include large hail and tornadoes the type that we dont normally see here being long during and going for miles ( ours are short and dont normally go far with a warm up.Whereas you dont put snow shovels away til mid May here we never put away all our summer clothes because even in winter we have some pretty warm days
