That's A Lot Of Pills

I'm sitting here watching the second Jurassic Park movie while mylotting. I'm trying my best not to fall asleep as I have medication I need to take in another hour. Have you ever nodded off in the middle of something? That's what I'm doing now. Someone a couple of days ago was talking about how much medication a family member took a day. So, I was curious and counted my medicine. The group of pills on the left are what I take in the morning, noon and afternoon which is 17 and the ones on the right are what I take at night which is 8 for a total of 25 pills. Man, that's a lot of pills! I think I'm going to sit here in my recliner and take a power nap. I can't keep my eyes open anymore. I hope everyone is having a blessed Easter.

That is quite a lot of pills. I've had several people in my family have to take around that much a day. I've only ever taken one prescription at a time, with some exceptions for when I was sick and needed to take antibiotics.

I wasn't taking all these meds ten years ago. I was only taking 3 for high bp. Now I have to take meds for herniated disks and neuropathy.

@simone10 All of those pills are split between AM and PM, right? Or do you take that much twice a day?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Most are split 3 times a day. I have 2 that are 4 times a day.

I have one prescription I take twice a day. I take a lot of vitamins and herbs and allergy meds as well, but not as many as I see here. Enjoy your nap.

The good thing is several of my meds are repeated. For instance, I take ibuprofen 3 times a day.

My meds are for high blood pressure, for back pain due to herniated disks and for neuropathy in my feet.

You are so lucky. A lot of my pills are taken several times a day so it looks like more than it really is. For example, I take gabapentin 4 times a day.

That's a lot of pills, but if they do the job, then we have trust in them. Myself, I take 10 pills to get thru the day.

Vince used to worry about my Dad talking a lot of pills but he now takes 9 a day. However, he doesn't come anywhere near what you're taking.

Unfortunately yes. A lot of the pills are duplicates, such as having to take them 4 times a day.

I take 10 in the morning plus 9 at night plus a puff each in the morning and 1 at night on 2 inhalers I have to use! Heck, at least they keep us going!!

@simone10 Are you talking about Jurassic World? I have it on Netflix. Yes, I have fallen asleep watching TV. I take medication in the morning and then later in the afternoon.
