So anyone who read my other post knows what happened to my computer. The technician came today but saw that my old cable isn't compatible my motherboard. He saw the snapped cable and said nothing can be done to it. But I remembered that I had an old graphics card which I replaced with the new one that's running now. He said to bring it as the old cable might be compatible to it, but to my utter dismay, I searched and searched but couldn't find it. He got restless and so I said him to leave and that I would give him a call when I find it. Thankfully, he didn't demand any compensation. Luckily, just before dinner, I happened to find it behind an old almirah. I packed it in a box with care and stowed it away in that secluded corner. He said he'll be coming tomorrow for the installation. He also warned that the old part might not function as it is not in use for like 2 years. But I still told him to come and try once. I hope it doesn't fail tomorrow, so fingers crossed.
My previous post for those who haven't seen.

A lot of credit to those who still do house calls in the midst of the coronavirus. I had to have a plumber come out a week ago. The handle to my shower broke off in my hand. It was an easy fix, and they came. For the first time since I do not know when, I did not have to pay for the service when it was rendered. I was told I would get a bill for it in the mail. Wow, almost always, it has been, 'payment now."

Lots of electronics parts would die if not used for a long time and then suddenly powered. It may run for a while then suddenly die, yes let's keep our fingers crossed.
