I Try To Keep Myself Healthy

I have been on the bigger side as far as I remember and until sickness hit me that I thought that was the end of it. I prayed so hard that He gives me strength. And I decided to lose weight. Believe it or not I weighed 280lbs and people called me names like Rolly Polly, lumbalumba and it hit me in the head... what was I doing to myself? And I decided to lose weight. Literally, my diet consist of apple, skyflakes, oatmeal, no salt, no sugar, no carbo for 3 months. I lost 100lbs.. wow! Then, when I started working for the academe, I met some people who encouraged me to hit the gym, I lost more that it surprised me too that I was able to reach 110-115lbs. I felt good about myself.
But when I was asked to teach Baking and Basic Culinary, i gained weight but not as big. Now, I weigh 160lbs. I need to lose 40lbs. I miss the gym and I miss my PT
Just few weeks ago I decided to get back in shape (if i have the shape....hahaha...) With this lockdown we are experiencing, what a better way to make use of it to go back exercising... and I am trying to hard.
My concern now is i lose inches faster than pounds. What do you think should I do? And what kind of diet should I follow? Help me lose weight

What I do is I eat less than what I usually eat. I still eat rice at dinner but I make sure to eat half cup of it. That way I still enjoy eating what I want to eat while slowly loosing my weight. Although it takes long time but your ideal weight will last long

Thanks simplyme, i try to cut down my rice sometimes it's just tempting. I will try to do that again.

@Softncuddly You don`t have to eat rice. It`s just my sample that I do because I love rice and I can`t stop myself from eating it. That`s why I just eat rice half cup a week.

Carbs, salt and sugar make me gain weight. So i try to regulate my intake of those, esp of foods that have hidden sugar like white breads. And of course i try to exercise. Some do an elimination diet - they determine which foods make them gain weight and then take them out of their diet. For many, it's rice. For some, it's the chips. Good luck on your weight loss journey! I wish you well.

wow... just by looking at you, i am so amazed. You have maintained yourself so gorgeous. In some days, I'd refuse to cook or bake because it temps you to eat as well. hahaha....

@DianneN , good for you.hahaha... but I still prefer fruits. If there was a choice I'd grab the fruits over the cakes.

yes lemon mix water twice a day and simple water 2 glass daily as you got up in morning

thank you, I've tried doing that but not that way. I should change how I'm supposed to drink it . But because of the lockdown there are fewer lemons around, i need to look for for lemons.

i need to lose weight, too, but i can't imagine just eating apples, skyflakes, and oatmeal. when you lost 100 pounds in 3 months, how did you avoid having sagging skin and stretch marks?

Eat healthy food, you may cheat once a week, exercise everyday. No to OVER eating.
