Warning:personal medical information included. Not from me, but from my husband. Hubby is now up to thirteen ER trips in the last two years. 5 in the last six weeks. All related to urinary tract problems and prostate problems and cancer treatment. He went and had a small thing done locally yesterday. He had a catheter removed. All went well. He was urinating okay, etc. No bleeding. He went to bed, and slowly became unable to urinate. Not good. Not comfortable. Not healthy. He went to the local clinic who had details from his VA doctor about which catheter to use and how to get it to go in, but they tried for an hour and a half and could not succeed. Off we go to the VA hospital ER. The nurse took a half hour trying, without success. She called in his urologist, who could do it pretty simply, I guess. I do not know, I was not even in the building. That is another story about how clinics and hospitals are protecting people while taking care of sick people. That will be my morning post tomorrow. Hubby needs a particular "scope" procedure to diagnose the precise problem and probably treat it at the same time. However, due to covid-19 surgeries are not being scheduled or performed until June. He is stuck with the catheter again. Even with various insurances, we have lots of medical bills. I cannot wait to make my millions on myLot.

I am sorry to hear about his problems. I hope for now they can fix things for him. I will add him to my prayer list.

Your poor husband that was surely very uncomfortable for him. It is the same here, only the patient can get inside the hospital now.

I am sorry to hear this, medical stuff should NOT cost as much as it does. I have alot of medical debt too and it stinks.

@Jessicalynnt You were gone from the site or maybe I did not share but basically two years ago in May he popped a blood vessel in his urinary tract. We spent months seeing a doctor that he was established with who "couldn't figure it out". When we got with this VA doctor things have been much better and he was able to determine that much of the issue is damage left from radiation for cancer.

@GardenGerty shouldn't matter if he is or isnt (though I am glad he is most of the time), if basic upkeep was just free, alot of problems would get caught sooner, and no one should have to go into medical debt to stay alive

Feeling very bad for your husband. And the fact that you can't even be with him at the hospital, it is sad.

Yes, I worry when I cannot be with him. He has just made up his mind, we will wait, and be healthy, and see the doctor for a procedure in June.

@GardenGerty I understand. I feel that way too. I've had 2 surgeries since I moved in with my brother. He was always with me when I had to go schedule the surgery. I get nervous and an extra pair of ears come in handy.

Discouraged might be the word, maybe. I notice I said he was hopeful in another response. The "pulled muscle" feeling in his groin is almost worse than the catheter and is what he originally went to the doctor for in March when all of this started again. I have insisted he take naprosyn for a couple of nights and so that muscle feels better at least.
