Failed Attempt

I have a grater but I don't have a shredder. I will be picking 5 of the papaya fruits next day for pickling. So I tried to DIY. I have a tin can and I thought I could do it my own. After I dismantled the and flatten the tin sheet, I bore it using a nail but just after the first hole, I stopped it because I know that it won't work. I need a trip to the kitchen wares section of the nearest department store tommorow.

Do you have potato peeler? Sometimes they work well as a shredder depending on what you're trying to shred.
