Love, love, love the movie and this soundtrack CD.
The movie is based around the fictional 1960s band, The Wonders, who turn out to be "one-hit wonders". The 1966 movie starred, was written by and was directed by Tom Hanks. The single, "That Thing You Do!" hit #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 1997.
There is a reunion planned sometime in the future for The Wonders and will take place on YouTube.

I never even heard of this movie. I probably should crawl out of my shell and start paying attention to the world around me.
