I think we need to tidy up our workshop

Here is our workshop. I know it looks a mess. I could say it looks worse than it is but I’m not sure that would be true. Vince is pondering about something; we have a length of pine ready to be cut into pieces with the cut-off saw and in the foreground on the right is a bench drill that was my father’s.
Over our 48 years of marriage, we’ve accumulated a lot of both power- and hand-tools and almost all have had a lot of use. Having the right tools for the job makes life so much easier. You might remember we repurposed an old bus as a motor-home some years back. Our tools got a good workout then. We could throw some of the bits and pieces out but it’s surprising how a lot of it can be repurposed for various uses.
We’ll be back working on making some pine boxes today. Are you keeping busy?

I think it only needs organizing and checking maintenance work for the tools. It's difficult to work in that condition.

@louievill that was an optimistic way to look at it.

@JudyEv Perhaps that's just the inspiration I need to get busy and get some things done.

We’re clearing out our woods still.

@JudyEv true.
My maternal grandfather had a workshop when he retired. Wish I kept his tools. Not sure where all those went or who kept it.

@allen0187 Some tools we don't use very often but when you want a particular tool, sometimes there are no substitutes.

I think the accumulation of tools, utensils, and other household items is common to a home. Our guest room has no more space for a bed because it has been converted into a stock room.

@JudyEv the problem with the things stored in the home is that there seems to be no intention of removing - giving away or throwing.

@Alexandoy We try not to get rid of anything that we might need later.

I hibernated today. If you can find everything it is in good shape.

If you tidied up, you probably couldn't find things. I'm keeping busy here on MyLot.

I bet you could find some treasures in there that you thought were long gone.

It's amazing what turns up if you start tidying things up.
