Statutory warning...this can be repulsive... We clean our butts with our hands, after pooping, and even wash the after peeing. Toilet papers are not used by average household. So we do wash our hands with soap NATURALLY after every use, even though it is only the left hand that gets the duty. So kinda... COVID-19 does not have a decent environment. We even eat with our hands (GRoss? Of course). This means we would have washed our hands n number of times, while the COVID-19 virus can survive almost 3 days on metals. We do namaste (fold our hands) .. instead of shaking hands. The world would soon start adopting Indian way of living. Those are logical reasons. Here are some illogical ones. 1. Half the Indian population does not know what COVID-19 is and what are its symptoms, because they are not educated and do not have tv sets that are constantly blaring about how to remain safe. So when elderly die, they presume it is old age. 2. Most treat it as ordinary cough. 3. Most are uninsured so they do not want to burden their kids or family. A loving suicide. 4. We are not testing enough. 5. We may be fudging data because our politicians want their constituencies to seem good. On the whole, east or west, India is the best...for a reason. It can be best even in being bad. You see, it grumbled about Muslim folks who attended Markaz meeting. Yesterday there was a Hindu congregation in a hot spot in Karnataka. Today, one of the politician's son is getting married, and he wants to be decked traditionally and wants full fledged attendance. I love Indians because they are so defiant. My father went to grocery store, on 15th, it was closed down yesterday, god knows why. He went to bank, accompanied me to my aunt's place who is 85, he touched a car that was touched by the watchman there. He drove to aunty's home to check whether everything is alright, even when he knew he is not supposed to do that possibly infecting watchman there, his wife and two kids not to mention me and aunt. There is absolutely no law that can help to control such dominating Indian men. To top it all, he is 85 and it can be deemed elder abuse. We keep trying to find a way to live with such attitudes because it is expected of us. Frustrating? You bet.

I am disappointed they are not announcing no medical facilities for those who defy the orders. What stops government from being so strict? Let those going to temples, mosques, etc., opt to go to those holy places, and expect their gods to cure them. The world will at least know which god to believe in. If their faith is so strong and their gods are the only gods, then they should be willing to do that or shut up and stay at home.
