The First Pick

The first batch of papaya fruits are already mature and one of it is riping. Late afternoom, I picked the 5 fruits and prepared it for pickling. Photo shows the already peeled papayas cut into halves. After these are cleaned, it will be shredded. I'll show you the end result after it was done.

They're are good to include in some dishes such chicken stew when raw, pickles are delicious appetizer, and ripe fruit is sweet.

The riping one can be eaten alone. They're are crisp and good for snack with matching soy sauce vinegar combi dip.

are you going to make atchara (pickled green papaya)? there is also a dish i like - grated green papaya in chicken and coconut milk.

There's a lone tree in our front yard Ms.D. It's accidentally grown there, maybe from seeds that spilled when we eat the ripe fruit I bought at the market.
