I heard the live shows of American Idol will be contestants performing songs on their house via facetime if the Corona virus problem continues. The judges will be at home too and watch performances live via laptop. Well at least it will save contestants time and energy once they get eliminated since they are literally home.The contestants might be singing via Ipads created by apple.
So the contestants won't be experiencing the vip treatment of sleeping on a hotel or touring hollywood for their safety.
The contestants will get to keep these custom ipads once they got eliminated.

Imagine the contestant singing passionately when suddenly her cat is in the background licking his own balls. Or a contestant singing while mom is in the background cooking dinner.

The show is already airing, so flying in multiple contestants in one studio will be hard. Also a stage with no audience is creepy.

I'm not so sure if singers could put out their best at this circumstances but it would be exciting to see.

Well they will be more rested since they are home but yeah they wont have the quality vocal coach training past contestants have,

@CaptAlbertWhisker Its exciting because its something new. It would take away the excitement because its different from when you are singing in front of the crowd.

Maybe they will help charities but contestants will still compete. Feel bad for the contestants who wants to experience performing in a large stage

@LadyDuck Usually when the contest is over contestants becomes friends. I dont think that will happen this time since they will never meet.

I also already quit it since they cant make stars anymore. I am curious this time around though to see how they will pull this of.
