More like auto-INCORRECT!

I love typing on laptops. I love how over the years my typing speed has become faster and faster. I also love how a majority of the time I'm not even looking at the keyboard. But as for typing on phones? Oh my goodness I hate it! I can type pretty quick there too but all the "auto-correct" slows me down because more than half the time, it's actually wrong. Since when does anyone tell somebody to "duck off" ? Or man! The amount of times I've tried to reply back to someone telling them "I'm good" only for it to come out as "I'm food." Like seriously! What words does your phone try to "correct" you with?

Absolutely none because I have auto-correct turned off for that very reason. I do have problems getting my sausage fingers to hit the right letters on phone keypads though.

@VivaLaDani13 I try to avoid doing anything that requires a lot of typing on my phone. Everything takes about 10 times longer.

@WorDazza I wonder if I can turn mine off. I have no clue but you've given me something to think about and see if my phone can do that. Oh boy!

You really need to watch your typing when you text on the phone.

Even if I type the correct word, my phone will change it!

@just4him @paigea I agree, best to keep an eye on what is being said since the words can be changed to what it thinks you're trying to say.

Same as @WorDazza, I have the auto-correct turned off, as I reply to friends from different countries it would be useless and even dangerous.

@VivaLaDani13 I have the bad habit not to read the manuals, but I inspect the various settings and options and I usually find what I search.

@LadyDuck So true! I am not so good with phones. I mean I know the basics but I don't know if I can turn auto-correct off. I will have to see if I can do it or maybe my brother will know.

I do very little with my phone but the auto correct on my PC does that same stupid thing.

@rebelann That sucks! I've never dealt with that on a PC or laptop before. That would annoy the crap out of me though!

I can't think of any specific words right now, but you are correct about the auto-correct being wrong half the time. It drives me nuts when I'm typing on my phone. I wish auto-correct had more intelligence to help us out when we do type the wrong words. Even on my laptop I sometimes make errors. I hate the fact that the "T" and the "G" are so close together on the keyboard. I once sent a message to my boss, and tried to end the message with "Regards," but that's not how it came out.

I have a mobile but never use it so thankfully I don't have these problems. I know Vince often complains about the auto-correct and the silly 'corrections' it comes up with.

Can't remember anything in particular at this moment (maybe because my mobile keyboard is pretty good in that respect) ... but the autocorrect suggestions you get sure can drive one nuts.

@DocAndersen I'm sorry. Though, I've never noticed you being bad at spelling. Unless you're using MyLot on your phone? Even then, I know not everyone is good at spelling. I struggle with a lot of words often myself.

You are pretty good at typing. I normally have a slow typing speed and I am on the lookout for a way to improve my typing speed. Any suggestions please would be highly appreciated.

@Treborika Thank you very kindly for your compliment! The only thing I can suggest is just practice. There are probably free YouTube videos out there with typing exercises to help gain you speed over time.
