BodyGroove : My review

Awhile back I came across some ads for "Bodygroove" a dance based workout. All of these exercise programs do seem to have a tendency to look a little cheesy. But this one looked particularly intriguing, so I bought the dvd and signed up for the trial month of free membership to the online classes.
I've mostly been using the online pre-recorded classes since I don't plan to keep it after the free month.
This exercise plan was designed by Misty Tripoli who is gorgeous and captivating and delivers encouragement to workout without shaming people. If you listen to interviews with her, you discover that she had and beat an eating disorder.
The workouts are positive and encouraging. The music is fun and upbeat. There are a lot of options offered , so incase you can't say - jump, you can do something else that works the same muscles.
The classes are structured so that you do ab out 3 different moves or sequences that change often, so that the routine doesn't get boring. My only complaint so far is that sometimes the instruction gets a little too vague (eg. alright! let's walk in circles now waving our arms however you want, this is your workout, yay!) but ... that's a minor complaint.
Also I think that at $10.00xmonth it's a little expensive for the online class. I think there is plenty on my dvd to keep me active....
If you're interesting I highly recommend it.

Honestly, I just go on youtube and find fitness videos, or else just dance to music that I like. I should do more of that, and find time to walk around the neighborhood again though.
I think $10/mo for the online classes isn't bad, but then I'd have to see one of the classes to decide for myself.

Hm, true, and walking is great exercise. On the other hand... considering online fitness classes seem to cost $12-$15 for one...

That's cool that you have your own thing that works. When you find something like that good to stick with it

i know there are some channels on youtube that provide same thing and you don't have to pay for them. so maybe you could check them out too
and there are also workout apps that you can use if you want to stay fit. anyways, keep dancing

Oh I'm there with you. I'm fairly out of shape at the moment. She might have a few sample classes online... I recommend them, as they meet you at your level :-)

True, it was a good motivator while I had the free month but the price was bit high for they got to be a bit repetitive
