Its happened. Harold Reid has died. He was eighty and had kidney issues and that finally got him. Horribly sad.
Who??!! Harold Reid- if you have heard the Statler Brothers country music band, you will know Mr. Reid. That deep bass; that in your face boom. So hilarious and so grand. My childhood. "Captain Kangaroo! Smoking cigarettes till dawn!"
I am going to Youtube and spending some time there listening to yesteryear and mourning the loss of a good guy. Not a ritzy fluffy celebrity but just a good hearted guy with a big voice.

Oh yes, I remember him. He had a voice you could not ignore. The Statler Brothers used to sing backup for Johnny Cash. A sad day!
