Do's and Dont's

Here are some healthy do's and don'ts to think about. DON'T buy olive oil in clear glass. The light degrades the heart-healthy oil. DO smell yourself 30 pounds lighter. People who smelled green apple, banana or peppermint several times a day lost an average of 30 pounds in 6 months. Researchers feel that smelling these scents may curb cravings. DO try to limit salty foods. Salt triggers the release of dopamine, the neurotransmitter associated with the brain's pleasure center. Salty foods can become as addictive as alcohol and nicotine. DON'T top off your gas tank. It can release cancer-causing benzene into the air, where it can come into contact with your skin or get into your lungs. Photo Credit: Pixabay

What an interesting post, I shall be smelling my fruit from now on, and that is also interesting about why salty food is so often pleasurable to eat and so easy to become adicted too. I knew I liked salt, in fact when I was younger my dad would often say do want a bit more food to put on that salt lol... It is so much fun being on here I seem to learn something new everyday and I find this particularly useful to know. Thank you for sharing this.

My olive oil comes in a dark green bottle. I may have to shove a banana up each nostril soon.

lol That bad, eh? I had yogurt today; and I'm starving; but I must wait until about 6 pm to eat again. Sigh.

@JohnRoberts Some people are just taking rides around to get out and see what's going on. True, there's no real place to go now. I'm hoping by the end of summer to take a road trip. We'll see how the virus is by then.

My olive oil is in a green bottle. I should smell peppermint several times a day. Do you think it will work?

I notice that the glasses to contain olive oil are darker. Other kinds of oil will be stored in clear glasses.

I could eat a whole bag of Tostito chips. That's why I don't buy them.

My first cold pressed olive oil is in dark tin. Today, I just a picked a bunch of peppermint leaves to dry for tea fusion. The mint aroma is wonderful.
