we'll get through today

Things are difficult and stressful here, like they are for most people right now, but they are survivable. My plans for last night's dinner didn't happen because of... well, things. Confinement and isolation are hard on all of us and some tempers flared. Instead, the kids ate frozen pizza and lived to tell the tale, and I had a good cry. Fortunately, that means that I already had most of tonight's dinner premade yesterday. I've been trying to focus on other things today. We got some gardening work done, but nothing planted yet because we're still waiting on our seeds. One of the beds is completely ready, and the other 3 are in the process of being finished. The other half trimmed one of the rose bushes that's trying to fall over too. I'm still feeling a bit numb today, but I'll be all right.

I'm sorry things didn't go well yesterday. It's good you had tonight's dinner ready. I hope you get the seeds soon for your garden beds. It's a strange time we live in, but we will get through this. One day at a time.

@spiderdust You're right. You can't have everyday cookie-cutter perfect. I'm glad it was easier yesterday.

Sometimes a day just doesn't work out. Today was easier than yesterday, and I'm thankful for that.

My brother is sending me a Victory Garden package from his various seeds, including some that he has saved from his previous harvests, and we also ordered some from Burpee. I miss being able to go to the local nursery, but they're closed right now.

Hang in there! Those of us with family/kids have a lot of on our plate right now. I rarely take a nap - and this afternoon I had to - just had to. Being interrupted, it really wasn't even a good nap . . . but now it's soon to be dinner time. Hubby and the kids are washing the cars outside right now - so I have a teeny bit of me time - and then I really need to start cooking. Another day . . . and tomorrow will be another one. All things considered, we are fortunate we are ok . . . we will be all right .

I just found out today that it's another month of shelter-in-place here. Which does make sense, and I do believe it's needed... but it's still hard to hear.

@spiderdust I know it's til the 15th here but I'm pretty darn sure it will be extended - they just have to in Los Angeles. Our major is saying we'll see how it goes in 2-6 weeks . . . but it depends on how people behave (with the counties above and below us reopening their beaches, it has proved that people cannot stop gathering).

Hang in there. Gardening is a good way to keep your mind occupied.

I hope so. It is giving people other things to do besides staying inside.

None of us are at our best right now due to the quarantine.

@spiderdust Interesting. My wife and I were talking about this the other day. There was a thing on the news about people arguing because of the quarantine. Phone calls to the police over domestic disputes on the rise. So it must be an all over the globe phenomona.

we got our garden in, I was so proud because we have failed on that front many times, but I am afraid the food will be high this year and we will really need to pull some in from the garden.

I have noticed that the quarantine is getting on my nerves. It's good that no one in the house is the same so I am the only one who is easily annoyed.

Remember I love you, and I'm a message away whenever you need me. I need to plant seeds today.
