Public transport can be allowed tomorrow

Only in selected provinces, public transport will be allowed to ply the road. However, the distancing will be strictly exercised. One example is the pedicab in the picture that can accommodate 2 passengers (and sometimes even 3). Now only 1 passenger will be allowed. That is clearly cutting the income to half. I wonder if the drivers would earn substantially with that setup.

You are right, only a few have their own cars and the general public is having a hard time in traveling short distances.

The earnings will be cut in half. I am not sure if they will increase the fare to make it even.

I hope the authorities will have sense in the implementation of the rules.

@bestie the officials in the task force should explain very well how to implement the rules. They should emphasize that the people are citizens and not criminals.

@wolfgirl569 the normal we know will only come back if the virus vanishes completely around the world.

I hope the so called new normal will not have much restrictions. We can protect ourselves with the face mask and the distancing. It is up to the general public to be aware of that.

@amitkokiladitya well, we are like in a waiting game. The government still do not know what to do.

We will know the changes with the fare and the system they will employ with public transportation. Maybe tomorrow there will be the guidelines.

I think the pedicab you have shown in the picture is human driven so the should not mind. As less luggage to drive and no fuel cost. The decision to allow public transport could be risky at this early stage of recovery whatever may be the social distancing we maintain.

@msdivkar you are right, just one passenger is allowed and it should be faster but the earnings is smaller.

You are right, the pedicab has no engine and the driver uses his legs to pedal.

That is logical since their income will be cut in half and they might not survive.

I am waiting for a report on how the public transport is going. Today is the first day that it is allowed in some provinces but not here in ours.

Yes, slightly good news but I think our province is not included in that privilege. We are still on a strict lockdown until May 15.

Yes, the government leaders said that we are entering the era of a new normal that we have to learn the protocols.
