Went Out for Food Again

Since we can just get out to buy food, it seems that doing the grocery is the highlight of my week now. I get to get out of the house to buy more supplies. Now I know that I have to do that at noon so that I don't have to do that in a crowd. Although I was able to have the grocery store all by myself for a while, I saw a massive crowd of people near the barangay hall. They all gathered to get the cash assistance in which I didn't get qualified even if I am a solo parent. I wonder why are they putting us under the enhanced quarantine just to ask people to get together one day so that they can give the subsidy! Did they plan to give some coronavirus as a bonus aside from the cash?

Getting out to buy food is a highlight of the day for many. Just keep your distance and stay safe.

True. Good thing I don't have to be in that crowd.

I thought they were ordered to just give from the person's house. But it seems that they are just violating the rules.

@Shavkat Yup. But they announced that they will help everyone. Ends up, their just helping themselves.

@cherriefic I do agree with you. I abandon the idea of having some from them. I will just do my thing online and earn extra cash as much as possible.

True. But I hope those people also considered why are they getting the subsidy. There's a deadly virus out there for crying outloud!

There was also a cash giving at our Barangay hall for people residing in the depressed areas, people get so excited I hope they don't forget social distancing.

@cherriefic I heard the public address speakers blare out constantly to keep distancing, the speaker is already begging " parang awa nyo na po !" People will just follow for a short time then break distancing again, so many hard headed people

It seems that when people heard that the subsidy is ready, they just forget that they are supposed to be observing social distancing.

@louievill True. Problem is, the officials are the one leading people to go out & forget about social distancing. This issue will not end until they are breaking the rules.

Take care and keep the social distance. Wasn´t there someone to make the crowd less dense?

Imagine getting a small amount of money but getting infected by the virus. It's not worth the risk.

Those people need to be standing 6 feet apart! I'll bet it was fun getting out and going to the store! Have a great weekend.

Exactly! But if I have to mingle with too many people, I won't be coming to get it even if my name is listed. I'd rather not have the money and be virus-free. No thanks!

That's a big problem, I think it should have been done otherwise, without so much gathering.

The higher-ups informed the town officials to give the cash assistance and bring it to house to house. Not gather everybody in one place.
