I read a post that said something about us all having stories in our lives and that they were always trying to be an open book because they had nothing to hide. I thought I have a short story that some might find interesting or funny.
This goes back to when I was 16 years old. Let me set the scene so you can kind of picture it.
It’s a winter day here and it is lightly snowing and there are a couple inches of snow on the ground. I’m in my car and just pulling up to a stop sign at a 3-way intersection. My friend and I are heading to my house when I notice the two girls walking on the side of the street. I knew the girls and had a little crush on one of them.
I hit the gas pedal and the plan is to slide sideways and head on down the road at a high rate of speed. That will really impress her, she will see how cool I am and that I am an awesome driver. Her friend will say to her, wow did you see how cool that was, he is awesome. She will be so interested in me and want to be my girlfriend.
Alright what really happens... I hit the gas pedal the car starts to slide but a bit to much I over correct and start to slide the other way, I lose control of the car, hit the ditch, into the privacy fence that is there. I end up taking down and completely destroying this fence and finally come to a stop about 3 feet from this car parked in a driveway. I destroy this random guys front yard with tire tracks.
My friend is laughing so hard and he thought it was totally cool. The owner of the house who came out yelling didn’t find it that cool and from the laughing I heard from the girls, well let’s just say neither of them were that impressed with my driving skills.
Moral of the story, don’t be an idiot when your driving and don’t try so hard to impress the girls.

I wonder how many times similar things have happened.
Vince tried to impress his passenger once on a slippery gravel road. The car started to slide and, like you, he over-corrected, then corrected back again and very nearly came to grief. Luckily he didn't and the guy was impressed but it really scared Vince. lol

Oh no..well I had a good old spin out when I was around 17 yrs old hit the curb (an open sewer part where the rain goes down) and spun out into the boulevard with a big rig coming fast as you please right at me. Jumped out the car, the truck hit the car and of course..no car:( Idiot

It is in my opinion a pretty funny thing that happened. No one got hurt and I was lucky the guy was nice enough about it. I went back that summer and put in a new fence for him.
