So Excited!

Yesterday, I noticed a pair of birds fluttering around in the tree in my yard. One was tan and attractive. The other was regally dressed in brilliant red feathers with a crest on top of his head, a cardinal. I was so excited because I have never seen any cardinals here and hope they might nest in the tree. According to National Geographic, they are songbirds and are monogamous. They are social birds hanging in flocks but at mating time, they separate into pairs and the male defends his territory and nest. The female lays three to five eggs. Some people think that a cardinal is a sign from a deceased loved one. Some references think that it is a sign to slow down and connect with your spiritual side. Do you have cardinals where you live? Do they mean anything special to you or are they just pretty birds?

@akalinus regular ones like sparrow, pigeons. Even if I see some different bird I hardly know their name.

I do occasionally see them. They are very pretty with no special meaning.

Some people think that they are symbols of deceased loved ones coming to visit. I think that they are just birds.

Yes, but I am sure that you have other beautiful birds. I think I will search for that.

Animals and birds seem to be coming back because there are not so many people outside. Maybe you will see one. I have never seen a cardinal in Florida before.
