Author Stephanie Meyer had Twilight fans going nuts over the weekend when she posted a countdown clock for this morning. Everyone wanted to know what she was going to reveal. Well now we know. She is releasing her novel Midnight Sun this summer on August 4. It is written from the "hero" perspective of Edward Cullen--a vampire frozen forever at age 17 who falls in love with the very human Bella Swan. I have read a couple of different descriptions of the book. Some say that it is simply the first book in the series told from Edward's perspective. Others describe it as a prequel so presumably it would be about his life before meeting Bella and perhaps starting at the time he was changed into a vampire when he was dying of the 1918 Spanish flu. I've read all of the Twilight books a couple of times. They aren't great literature but the story is interesting enough. . . if a little cheesy. In fact I'm re-reading the last book in the series, Breaking Dawn, right now. Will I read Midnight Sun? Probably just to see what there is to see. Have you read the Twilight books or seen the movie adaptations?
The next installment in the "Twilight" book series is arriving very soon.

I'm not a vampire fan of the movies or books.

They aren't great works of art but decent enough for entertainment
