The Virus has Come to Town.

For about the last six weeks we have only been out to pick up groceries or take a ride, no getting out of the car. How has the corona virus effected you? We see no friends or family. We do talk on the phone and so far all my family is well. How is it where you live?

We have closed bars and restaurants so I don't see many of my friends.

@mrki444 I'm not sure if restaurants are letting people inside to eat. People have picked up at the window for weeks. I haven't noticed because I wouldn't want to eat inside a restaurant at this time.

So do I, It's been that long since we've seen anyone. It's best to stay apart during this time. We're lucky we can order our groceries and have them brought to our car.

The virus hit really hard in our area, we are only 3 miles from the Italian border and it came from Italian workers coming here every morning. We did not go out during 3 weeks, volunteers came to take our grocery lists and bring back the grocery to us (outside the door). Now it's a lot better, we can go out again, but we must still be very careful.

We must be very careful too. For awhile I ordered groceries online and went to the grocer to pick them up, Now I;m beginning to go myself wearing mask and gloves and keeping a safe distance. We don't go out to meet people and we have no visitors. Hopefully it won't be this way always..

@LadyDuck We don't have visitors either. We're all better off staying in and away from people for the time being. I doubt anything will change anytime soon but I hope I'm wrong.

@RubyHawk We have been trying to order groceries online as much as possible. We are cautious about having the shopper pick out meat or produce so we do that ourselves.

@simone10 We shopped online and picked them up at the store for awhile. But since I ventured into Aldis I've gone myself. Not many people are there and most everyone wears a mask. The store is marked to keep people separate. One person stays outside wiping down every buggie that goes in the store.

That's a good choice. I've ordered groceries online and drove to the store to pick them up but lately I have gone into the store wearing a mask and gloves and staying a good distance from anyone. we should all stay as safe as possible.

My one grandson had Covid-19 about two months ago. A plane landed from China, Kalitta workers being transported back to Michigan. They couldn't use a passenger plane, so seats were bolted into the belly of a cargo plane. Zachary's job, to remove those seats from the plane. Soon after, he got real sick and spent almost three weeks at home, in bed. Now, he's doing fine, but this case wasn't reported.

@kobesbuddy I think many people got the virus and didn't know what it was.to begin with and doctors didn't realize how serious it was so nothing was done until it got out of hand. It's really a bad situation but I'm so glad your grandson is okay now.

I'm glad your grandson is okay now. I think many cases aren't counted and we don't actually know the real numbers. I'm surprised that everyone doesn't wear a mask and try to keep farther away.

We have about ten cases in our neighborhood. So we are still on quarantine. Although government officials are doing their best that the numbers would not go up anymore. The government ia planning to lift the quarantine next week.

@RubyHawk I know how it is in your country being the top in terms of casualties. I am saddened to know that. We have a several thousand or more cases nationwide. Although its small compared to your country but we are a small country and those number are significant to us already.

That is good news. We've been in about six weeks or I've lost count. It seems a long time. Our hospitals are still full of the sick and not enough supplies. Doctors and nurses are working long hours and it's just a mess here. I've never seen anything like it.

Hi there, it's good to see you're still here. We came out a couple of weeks ago but I've only been out for groceries and not often. While we were on lock down I ordered groceries on line and if it's necessary I'll do it again. I always wear my mask and gloves when shopping. I'm as careful as possible. You stay safe.

I'm sorry you still have to put up with that bully. We are so lucky. We have a lone woman in the apartment overhead and she's quiet. We're dodging people too. I only go out to a grocery store and wear a mask and gloves. I sometimes order groceries online and drive to the store to pick them up. I'm afraid it will be a long time before things go back to normal, if ever.

@Hannihar Yes, the Governor gave the go ahead to all stores that want to open but many stores are still closed. They were given rules to keep the stores sanitary and not let too many people in the store at one time. .I've only been into Aldi and they are following the rules as far as I can see. They have distances of 6 feet marked and we are supposed to keep that distance. My daughter in law went into Walmart and she said the store was crowded and many people were not wearing masks.

@RubyHawk I appreciate many of the stores are quite systemized now - thank goodness. I heard from our back neighbors that they loved our local Aldi's. Yah, we were wondering where you were. Glad to hear your husband is doing much better now - I hope you both continue to stay safe and well out there. Nice to see you back!

We did order groceries online and pick them up at the store but since they are getting more organized in the grocery stores I'm going in wearing my mask and gloves. They do a good job of keeping everyone separated at Aldi. My better half had cancer and was sick for a long time and recovering in a nursing home that I dropped everything for awhile. He's much better now and getting about.so I'm picking up some of my old habits.
